With an August 22 release date quickly approaching, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For took to Comic-Con to release two character posters of Jessica Alba as Nancy and Dennis Haysbert as Manute.
In Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to "The Big Fat Kill" (featured in the Frank Miller's Sin City) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face.
Alba is making a return to the Sin City world and looks to be bringing her tough girl mentality to this poster. It seems like she will carry a similar weight as she did in the first movie, at least judging from the trailers.
On the other hand, Haysbert is entering the Sin City world for the first time and his character looks like someone who could have a sinister background behind him. It looks a much darker role for Haysbert, who's best known for his work in 24.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is directed by Robert Rodriguez and Miller, from a script written by Miller. The cast includes returning Sin City stars Mickey Rourke, Alba, Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, Powers Boothe and Jaime King alongside newcomers Eva Green, Josh Brolin, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Jamie Chung, Ray Liotta, Haysbert, Juno Temple, Alexa Vega, Christopher Meloni, Lady Gaga, Stacy Ketch, and Jeremy Piven. The film is set for release on August 22.
