David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel, the stars of Fox's long-running procedural Bones, recently revealed what was ahead for their respective characters after the tumultuous events of the Season 9 finale.

Booth Gets New "Politically Ambitious" Junior Agent When Bones Returns

Going into Season 10 of the series, Booth (Boreanaz) will be in prison after his shootout with three Delta Force members at the end of Season 9. Meanwhile, Brennan (Deschanel) is left trying to get her husband out.

"Booth is in prison when we come back and Brennan is trying desperately to clear Booth's name, to get to the bottom of the conspiracy theory," Deschanel revealed in a new interview with TVLine.

Boreanaz was also in the interview, sporting some noticeable facial hair, which he will have in Season 10. Booth's imprisonment will be unlike anything he's ever been through, previewed Deschanel.

"Booth is different when we come back. This is nothing he's been through before, he's been through torture, he's been through abduction, he's been through all of these different horrible things," she listed.

On a lighter note, there was also discussion of the series' executive producer Stephen Nathan revealing that the Bones family would be "expanding."

While both Boreanaz and Deschanel were tight-lipped on who would be expanding their family in Season 10, Deschanel did confirm "there is a pregnancy - and baby."

Might Booth and Brennan be giving their daughter Christine a sibling?

Bones Season 10 premieres Thursday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
