Photos of Hollywood Exes star Nicole Murphy on vacation with an NBA player have surfaced just days after her split with Michael Strahan hit headlines.

TMZ released the pictures on Tuesday that showed Murphy getting cozy with Jim Jackson in the Caribbean from July 7 through July 10. Hotel workers told the site that the two were very close with one another and were consistently hugging and kissing.

Murphy claims that she and the former NFL star were "on a break" during this time. However, other sources say that she wasn't vacationing with Jackson to begin with. Instead, she was in Puerto Rico with a group of friends and saw Jackson there.

An separate insider told People magazine Tuesday that both Murphy, who was previously married to comedic actor Eddie Murphy and Strahan have moved on with other people after having issues with each other for the past couple of years. They also said Nicole attempted to give a logical reason as to why they were engaged for more than five years after he proposed in 2009.

"It had been the longest engagement ever. She would always get so defensive about it, saying, We're taking our time, we're taking our time,' and all of her girlfriends on these how would always push her. It had obviously become a point of contention [for her]."

Their relationship got even rockier after Strahan snagged the co-host position in Live! With Kelly and Michael, relocating him to New York City while Nicole stayed in Los Angeles with her children. The source said she refused to move to the Big Apple.

A separate insider added that the breakup is not much of a surprise.

"This has been brewing.It wasn't a shock to anybody around them."

The couple began dating in 2007, just after Nicole split with Eddie in 2006.
