Devious Maids still has not officially been renewed for a third season, but the cast isn't letting that spoil their plans for an eventual new set of episodes.

Edy Ganem Says She Doesn't Want Valentina' To Die'

Rebecca Wisocky, who had a big arc in the show's second season, spoke to Entertainmentwise August 5, and revealed what she hopes could happen if the Lifetime series is picked up again for another run-and assured fans that everyone in the cast was very much wishing for new episodes.

"Our fingers are crossed! We should know any day now," she told the website, which interviewed her ahead of the season 2 finale airing in the UK. "I don't want to spoil the finale for you, but I will say that the season leaves the Powells changed in a fundamental way. How they move forward from there will be a big question. As for what I personally want for Evelyn? I'll let Marc Cherry point the way!"

Dania Ramirez Loves Rosie's 'Complexity'

Wisocky is the third cast member to reveal their hopes for the show being picked up for a third season. Dominic Adams, who played her lover, Tony Bushara, in the second season, and Edy Ganem & Dania Ramirez, two of the title's maids have also revealed their hopes for a new season, following uncertainty over the show's chances of renewal.

While the show had respectable ratings for its second season, viewers came to watch in lower numbers on average, compared to the high ratings the first season brought it.

The drama did face some stiff competition  in its 10 p.m. timeslot on Sundays this season, getting beaten by a wide variety of shows, including HBO's Silicon Valley and The Leftovers, AMC's Mad Men, Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta and Real Housewives of New Jersey, Adult Swim's Bob's Burgers, TLC's Return to Amish, TNT's Falling Skies and Discovery's Naked and Afraid.

A decision on the series' fate should be released soon.
