With a new Power Rangers movie on the way, old and new fans of the series are looking for who will join or return to the franchise as casting begins to take shape in the coming weeks.

Former 'Power Rangers' Star Teases Return In New Movie

While the original Red Ranger himself, Austin St. John, teased a return in some capacity to the franchise, another former Ranger, Jason David Frank, also talked about coming back to the series that meant so much to him.

Speaking at Comic-Con with Nuke The Fridge, Frank talked about what it would be like to return in the new reboot movie. "Obviously all I know is what we read online, Power Rangers really wants to protect their brand (with the reboot)," Frank said. "Haim (Saban) wants it to be a reboot that we can all appreciate from the newer fans to the older ones."

'Hunger Games' and 'Carrie' Stars Rumored For New 'Power Rangers' Movie

As for getting a role in the movie, Frank was like many others and didn't know, but was adamant that he would love to participate if given a chance. "I guess it isn't out that we will have cameo roles, but us having cameo roles in the movie is an option," Frank said.

"The script is not written yet and I love my fans and they have a strong opinion around the world and if it were up to me I would have my own Green Ranger film. I definitely think Green Ranger can hold his own like Wolverine or the X-Men."

X-Men: First Class writers Ashley Miller and Zack Stenz are currently working on the script with producer Roberto Orci. The Power Rangers movie does not have a release date yet.
