After Robin Williams tragically died this week from an alleged suicide, one of his co-stars from Mrs. Doubtfire revealed some moments she shared with him on set as well as how she regrets not keeping in contact with him.

On Friday, Newsweek posted an interview with Lisa Jakub, who played Williams' daughter Lydia in the 1993 film. She mentioned that she met Williams during the screen test of the movie, which she was excited about since she grew up watching Mork & Mindy.

"The great thing about Robin is that very quickly the whole celebrity thing just faded away," Jakub said. "He was such a normal, nice, generous, kind person. So you forgot about all the brilliant actor stuff."

The actress-turned-blogger then revealed that she and Williams managed to keep in touch for a little while after the Mrs. Doubtfire wrapped, but it's difficult to stay in contact as an actor.

"I always kind of liken it to going to camp with people," Jakub said. "You get really close and you have this very intense experience with people, but then next year maybe you go to a different camp and you have other people who are important. It's really hard to keep in touch."

The former actress went on about how much she regrets this and an important lesson she's learned.

"That there are really people in our lives that have had a profound impact one way or another," she said. "It's really important to reach out and to let people know that and to make the effort to stay in touch. Because you never know what's going to happen and you never know how much time you have."
