James Wan, who directed the first two chapters of Insidious, recently tweeted a bit of dialog from his long-time writing partner Leigh Whannell, who is currently directing Insidious: Chapter 3.

The creepy yet hilarious dialog is attributed to Whannell by Wan:

"The mystery toy dept. is down the hall. This is the homicide dept." "Ive never arrested a dummy for murder b4" ha vintage @LWhannell dialog.

Behind-the-Scenes Photo Of Insidious 3 Revealed

This could be from a movie the duo worked on previously, but they have mostly collaborated on Insidious, so it seems unlikely. Which leads us to believe that it could also be from the script for the upcoming instalment of the indie-horror franchise.

Stefanie Scott, Dermot Mulroney and Lin Shayne star in the movie.

Blum (Blumhouse Productions) is co-producing the third film with Peli (Paranormal Activity). Whannell, who wrote the first two chapters of the franchise -- which were directed by James Wan (Fast and Furious 7) -- is helming Insidious 3.

Here's the official movie synopsis:

"In Insidious: Chapter 3, a twisted new tale of terror begins for a teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series. 

The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.

Insidious 3 will release on May 29 2015.
