Zoe Saldana accepted director James Gunn's Ice Bucket Challenge on Tuesday with the help of her hubby, Marco Perego.

More Celebs Do the ALS Bucket Challenge

"Obviously, I can't do it myself," the pregnant actress, 36, said while rubbing her baby bump. "So I nominate my husband to take on the challenge and get rinsed with a nice bucket of ice water."

The couple also nominated five other people to partake in the challenge: James Cameron, Aileen Getty, Ron Burkle, Salma Hayek and Francois Pinot. "Do it," Saldana said. "Oh, and make a donation please."

Perego, 35, who was sitting in a chair, was then drenched to benefit ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. (The disease affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.) The Italian artist then jumped into a swimming pool behind him.

The hilarious video marks the first that Saldana addressed her pregnancy. News that she was expecting broke in June, before the Guardians of the Galaxy actress could even announce it to the media and her fans.

"'I believe that any violation of privacy is nothing good.'~Lech Walesa. I would like to thank all the f--king media for invading our privacy," Saldana tweeted on July 24.

Saldana and Perego got married last June in England in front of a few close friends and relatives. "I'm not a private person, but I am discreet, so it felt right," she told Net-a-Porter of her secret nuptials.

The low-key couple made their first public appearance together when they attended the 2014 AOL NewFronts event at Duggal Greenhouse in New York City in April and held each other as they posed for a photo.
