The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards opened with a huge 'Bang' as Nicki Minaj, Jessie J and Ariana Grande were the first performers to grace the stage.

First, Ariana Grande hit the stage to perform, then Nicki joined in with 'Anaconda' before Jessie J appeared under the bright lights.
