With a Power Rangers reboot happening in movie form, many former Rangers have teased the idea of coming back to cameo in the new movie, and now another face has returned to talk a small role.
On the red carpet for his new movie, Frontera, Walter Jones or The Black Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, talked with ScreenSlam (featured below) about the idea of a cameo in the new movie and said that he hopes it will happen.
"It's still in the mix, we got to see what is going to happen, and there's a very good possibility that there will be a cameo in there," Jones said. "It's a reboot so they're re-casting the whole entire film and there's a lot of excitement about it."
Jones has had a solid career for himself outside of Power Rangers with roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, additional Power Ranger roles, and a plethora of voice work including work in Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 and Open Season 2.
He also isn't the first actor to tease a return as both Austin St. John and Jason David Frank have also voiced a desire to return in any capacity to the new movie but Jones gives the most definitive update yet with a clear idea of what could be going on with the movie.
The script is being worked on by X-Men: First Class writers Zack Stenz and Ashley Miller with Roberto Orci producing. The film is set to open in theaters on July 22, 2016.
