American Idol winner Phillip Phillips has announced a new tour with O.A.R. this coming fall and winter, playing on the road for over two months.

The tour begins September 12 at the Westpoint Eisenhower Hall Theatre in New York. The pop singer will be playing almost every single night, which caused him to cancel tour dates last year by Doctor's orders, saying his body could not handle the "six shows a week." Even on American Idol he had recurring kidney stones that caused him pain. Hopefully he stays healthy for the two month stint with O.A.R.

Phillips is premiering the tour in support of his newest album, Behind The Light. His newest single Raging Fire debuted at no. 58 on the Billboard charts, 34 spots behind his first single debut in 2013. The singer was first made famous for his debut single Home, which he admitted to MTV that he wished he would have written his own single instead of performing his own take of a song. The single wowed judges and fans alike, allowing him to receive the title of American Idol Champion.
