While the villain has appeared before, it seems like one of the classic Marvel bad guys will be re-appearing in a different form during the reboot of the Fantastic Four.

Michael B. Jordan is Over The Criticism of His Role in 'Fantastic Four'

ComicBook Movie released three images on Wednesday from the set of the Fantastic Four reboot that includes the first glimpse at the film's villain, Doctor Doom. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes actor Toby Kebbell will portray the Marvel big bad.

While this is the second photo from the set, with director Josh Trank confirming The Thing picture from a few weeks ago, it offers a different look at the villain from the past iteration. In the first movie, the villain, played by Julian McMahon, had a more traditional look while this version looks like someone off of Krypton in Man of Steel.

Production Wraps On 'Fantastic Four' Reboot

Kebbell put in some solid work in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes to show that he will be a formidable and frightening villain. His experience in motion capture work will also help make this version of Doctor Doom even better than the first one.

In one of the photos also is a stand-in for the Human Torch, who is portrayed by Jamie Bell, hovering over the villain. While there is no way to tell what is happening in the scene, it could be a set-up for a fight between the superhero group and the supervillain.

The Fantastic Four reboot is set to open in theaters on June 19, 2015. The film also stars Miles Teller, Michael B. Jordan, Kate Mara and Tim Blake Nelson.
