With fall just around the corner, MTV's Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is trying to enjoy the beach weather with her eldest son Jace before he returns to school.

"Beach day for this family," Evans announced on Twitter early Monday morning. Evans' mother Barbara still maintains legal custody of five-year-old Jace, but based on Evans' Twitter feed it seems the boy spent the whole weekend with his mom, her boyfriend Nathan Griffith and Jace's younger brother Kaiser.

Before hitting the beach, however, Evans and Jace enjoyed taking a few selfies in the car. "Another one that likes to play with Mommy hair," Evans tweeted alongside a photograph of Jace hiding behind a wave of Evans' long brown locks.

"Silly boy," Evans added a few moments later as she snapped a Jace sitting beside her with an exaggerated look of bewilderment on his little face.

While Evans gave birth to baby Kaiser back in June, the mother of two was not shy about sporting a two-piece bathing suit in the photos. Evans has boasted a return to her workout routine via social media over the last few weeks, hitting the gym after class and in the evenings.

Over the weekend Jace also got some bonding time in with Evans' boyfriend Nathan Griffith, who is also father to Jace's brother Kaiser. Griffith taught the five-year-old how to swing a baseball bat before heading out to a family meal at Buffalo Wild Wings.
