A new rumor floating around is claiming that Glee star Lea Michele will be guest starring on FX's American Horror Story: Freak Show this fall.

Matt Bomer Set To Join American Horror Story: Freak Show In New 'Warped' Role

The rumor was reported by BroadwayWorld.com, via Christian Science Monitor, stating that Michele has "joined the cast" of American Horror Story for the upcoming season. This is certainly a plausible bit of casting, considering Michele has worked with American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy before as the star of Glee, another Murphy production.

If the Michele casting is true, this would actually be the second FX show for the actress to guest star on in the fall. It has previously been reported that she will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of FX's Sons of Anarchy, where she will play a truck stop waitress, a departure from her usual glamorous roles.

Sarah Paulson Has to 'Switch Constantly' Between Siamese Twin Roles on American Horror Story: Freak Show

The BroadwayWorld report also notes that none of the cast or crew members have confirmed Michele's potential casting publicly.

Assuming she signs/signed on, she would be joining an all-star cast that includes Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe, Denis O'Hare, Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley and Patti LaBelle.

American Horror Story: Freak Show takes place in 1952 and centers on one of the last remaining freak shows in America, living in Jupiter, Fla. Lange's Elsa Mars is the owner of the troupe of "freaks," which include Paulson's Dot and Bette Tattler (conjoined twins), Bates' Effil Darling (bearded lady) and Bassett's Desiree Dupree (woman with three breasts).

Fans will enter the Freak Show Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 10 p.m. on FX.
