Although, the DC villain makes the briefest of appearances in the clip -- its main highlight being Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) sharing a kiss. "Something's never die," the villain says.

In July, TVLine revealed that Stormare, who starred in the film adaptation of Fargo, will be portraying Werner Zytle, who is the alias of Count Vertigo in DC Comics' New 52s.

The report gave away more details about the character stating that Zytle would replace the Count (Seth Gabel), who died at the hands of Oliver in season 2. Zytle will taken on the role of playing the new peddler for Vertigo. He will also be the first antagonist for the Arrow team in season 3.

Here's the synopsis for the first episode of the season:

"In the aftermath of this victory, Season Three opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen - not as long as the city needs The Arrow."

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW.

Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.
