Comedian Joan Rivers is continuing to fight for her life as her daughter, Melissa Rivers, stays by her side.

Joan Rivers In 'Stable But Critical Condition' As Melissa & Grandson Cooper Rush To Mount Sinai

Melissa released a statement on Tuesday in which she revealed that her mother, 81, is still on life support at this time.

"On behalf of my mother and our family, we are extremely grateful for all the love and support we've received. At this time she does remain on life support," Melissa said, in reference to Joan. "I know my mother would be overwhelmed by the continued outpouring of kindness and I want to thank everyone for keeping us in their prayers."

Joan Rivers Remains in Serious Condition At N.Y. Hospital

Joan's troubles started Thursday when she was in throat surgery for a minor operation when she began to have trouble breathing. She has been in Mount Sinai Hospital where Melissa and grandson Cooper, 13, have gone to be by Joan's side.

Many of Joan's fellow comedians have come out in support of her on Twitter.

"Dear @Joan_Rivers, FYI the flowers u JUST sent me r still goin strong!" tweeted Kathy Griffin. "Thinking of U every minute. LUV U #JoanRivers."

Marc Maron tweeted a simple yet powerful message, "Hope Joan is okay."

Fellow talk show host Andy Cohen tweeted:

"It's been quite boring for the last six days with @Joan_Rivers down for the count. WAKE UP LADY! So much love awaits you!"

Joan is the host of E!'s Fashion Police, in which she critiques various celebrity fashion. She is also the host of her own YouTube series, In Bed With Joan.
