As filming for the third chapter of Insidious is officially completed, and fans eagerly await the first trailer, pictures from the set help make the wait easier. On September 3, a new behind-the-scenes photo featuring female lead Stefanie Scott was revealed.

Specs And Tucker To Return In Third Chapter In Insidious?

In the image, Scott is seen sitting in a gloomy looking, creepy backdrop and director Leigh Whannell is discussing a scene with her. Scott also has a lap top open in front of her. The picture was first tweeted by Scott and had a funny description to go with it:

"We look serious but @LWhannell's probably telling me scene metaphors involving dolphins riding skateboards #insidious pic.twitter.com/8pQgWsV7fZ"

Director Teases Plot Stating There Will Be "Lots Of Shadows" In Insidious 3

Dermot Mulroney and Lin Shaye also star in the movie. The filming was completed rather quickly in a matter of months, given the efficiency of the team it seems like pulling out a teaser to satiate fans shouldn't take that long either. 

Filming for Insidious Chapter 3 officially wrapped on August 19. Blum (Blumhouse Productions) is co-producing the third film with Peli (Paranormal Activity). Whannell, who wrote the first two chapters of the franchise -- which were directed by James Wan (Fast and Furious 7) -- is helming Insidious 3.

Here's the official movie synopsis:

"In Insidious: Chapter 3, a twisted new tale of terror begins for a teenage girl and her family, predating the haunting of the Lambert family in the earlier movies and revealing more mysteries of the otherworldly realm The Further."

Insidious: Chapter 2 was released on Sept. 13 and topped the U.S. box office scoring $41.1 million over in its opening weekend. The film stars Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Shaye, Ty Simpkins, and Barbara Hershey reprised their roles from  the first film in the series. 

The first film followed the story of the haunted Lambert family, whose son inexiplicably enters a comatose state and becomes a vessel for demons. In Insidious: Chapter 2, the married couple try to explore the secrets that tie them to the paranormal world and the demons that possessed their son.

Insidious 3 will release on May 29 2015.
