Hawaii Five-0's Steve McGarrett may get a new lady friend during the fifth episode of season 5.

The Hawaii Five-0 crew was spotted filming with Alex O'Loughlin (McGarrett) at a cemetery in late August, and the former Navy SEAL is expected to meet a new woman at his father's grave.

"After [John] died, this woman, on the anniversary of his death, always shows up at his grave to basically thank him for everything he had done," said executive producer Peter Lenkov of the upcoming character, according to TV Guide.

However, the new female character will not become a love interest for McGarrett as he deals with the departure of Catherine Rollins (Michelle Borth).

"Everybody's selling it as a love interest, but really it's a friendship," Lenkov told TV Line. "McGarrett meets a woman on the anniversary of his father's death, and they share the common trauma of both losing a parent very early on. And that's going to play into an arc."
