Supernatural's Sam Winchester knows a thing or two about curing demons, but the hunter will want to get all his spells in a row before he tries to restore Demon Dean's humanity.

Thanks to season 8's Trials, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is no stranger to the Men of Letter's demon curing ritual. Although the hunter never completed Crowley's (Mark Sheppard) cure, it sounds like he will try the process again when he finally catches up to his brother.

"As soon as [Sam] finds out [Dean's a demon], he's heartbroken," Padalecki said at NJCon last weekend. "He knows how to cure demons, but he doesn't know if Cas has enough strength. So Sam has to go back to studying and using all of his brainpower to try and figure out how to make Dean all better."

Sam can hit the books all he wants, but he probably won't find an informative leaflet on how to safely cure a demon with the Mark of Cain. It is unknown why Sam needs Cas (Misha Collins) to help him out, but the angel could be a vital asset if Dean's (Jensen Ackles) fatal wounds still need attending to when he sheds his demon demeanor.
