The International Business Times reported from the 2014 Fan Expo Canada, where Amell was present. Speaking at the event, the actor revealed that he hoped Green Latern popped in.

"Now, boy we've referenced Ferris Air a lot. It would be really cool to have Green Lantern. Hopefully, that happens. I have no inside information, unless I do," he said.

New Members Of The Suicide Squad To Join In Season 3?

While there is no determining if Green Lantern will be dropping by the Arrow universe, we know of one new superhero who will be introduced in the next season. Brandon Routh will be playing The Atom in season 3 and will be the new owner of Queen Consolodated, causing Oliver much grief. In other recent news, the main villain for the next chapter was finally casted.

On September 4, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the actor had been cast in the meaty role of Ra's al Ghul. The villain will make his appearance in the fourth episode of the season, titled The Magician, which is also going to be the show's landmark 50th. The Australian actor is best known for his work on Riddick.

Up until now there had been a lot of speculation surrounding the casting for the villain's part. Recently, Liam Neeson, spoke about the possibility of him reprising his role as Ra's al Ghul -- in Batman Begins and Dark Knight Rises -- in season 3 of Arrow.

Season 3 of Arrow premieres on October 8 on The CW.
