After Finding Carter aired its season finale, some teases are going around with what the second season will be like- as it turns out, it might be fairly similar to the first.

'Finding Carter' Shooting Incident Chatter

On Tuesday, TV Line posted a interview with executive producer Terry Minski on how the idea came up to have Lori kidnap Carter once again. She mentioned that this idea was always there except this time Carter would be kidnapped against her will.

"When MTV called me and said, 'We're going to pick up the first season, but you need to have a great cliffhanger,' I was like, 'I know what it is!'" Minsky said. "We were always headed for that abduction, but the question was how."

The producer also mentioned that one idea she had was that the kidnapping would take place in a Christmas episode when Lori would be selling Christmas trees.

"In the finale, we really felt like we had to answer some questions and have her interact with Carter for more than the usual, abrupt two sentences," she said.

Minsky also dished on how Lori has basically lost sympathy from fans and became a villain while Elizabeth had the opposite happen.

"The plan was that over the course of the season, the viewers' attitudes about them would flip, but the characters themselves wouldn't flip," she said. "I don't think Lori changed, but we got to finally see the Lori that was capable of kidnapping a child. I feel both of their personalities are, fundamentally, the same as they were in the beginning."

Finding Carter Season 2 is expected to air in 2015.
