Fans of Liam (Scott Clifton) and Hope (Kim Matula) may need to officially be prepared to close the book on their long and complicated romance on The Bold and the Beautiful.

Liam Tells Hope He Is 'Never' Letting Her Go

Though the fact that she is pregnant with his brother Wyatt's (Darin brooks) child, Liam didn't want to let that stop he and Hope from reuniting as a couple once again-but his initial suggestion of pretending the baby was his was turned down, leading him to suggest Hope get an abortion, since no one else knew yet that she was expecting.

"If you have Wyatt's baby, it's the end of us," Liam says to her in a preview clip for the Tuesday, September 23 episode.

Hope Considers Ending Her Marriage To Reunite With Liam

But, despite wanting to be with Liam in her heart, Hope will balk at his suggestion, because she doesn't believe in that-and every solution he potentially comes up with will be another she can't find herself going along with. She may want to spend the rest of her life with Liam, but she knows she can't deny her child a proper future with its genuine parents-something she, Wyatt and Liam all had to deal with as kids. She barely knew her birth father, Deacon (Sean Kanan), and neither Wyatt or Liam became aware that Bill (Don Diamont) was their father until they were adults.

Because of that, Hope won't allow history to repeat itself, and she will choose to stay in her marriage to Wyatt as a result.

"I can't do what my mother did to me," she says to Liam in the clip. "What I want is for this child to have what I didn't."

The Bold and the Beautiful airs Monday-Friday at 1:30 p.m. on CBS.
