The Originals returns to The CW for season two in less than two weeks, and the only people more excited than fans are the cast and crew behind the successful Vampire Diaries spin-off.

Actor Steven Krueger can't believe the premiere is so close. The actor, who proved himself to be so endearing as fan-favorite Josh during Season 1 that the writers refused to kill him off, declared his surprise and delight on Twitter Monday.

Krueger isn't the only one getting ready for the big premiere. Producer Michael Narducci enthusiastically promoted the countdown with some fan art on Twitter Tuesday, which included images of star Daniel Gillies (Elijah) and Joseph Morgan (Klaus).

Season 1 ended with a lot of drama, from Klaus' decision to send away baby Hope to the return of his infamous father Mikael (Sebastian Roche). The Mikaelson brothers will certainly have their hands fill as the try to protect their family from werewolves, witches, and even their own parents. Determined to make New Orleans safe for his daughter's return, Klaus will surely be willing to do just about anything.

The Originals returns to The CW for a second season inn a new night Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
