Mistresses star Alyssa Milano has announced that she will not be returning to the ABC series where she took to social media to show her gratitude to the fans who have taken her side.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Milano would not come back for more episodes of Mistresses due to a relocation of filming, and the actress is putting her husband and children first. That same day, the actress took to Twitter to show how thankful she is to everyone who supported her.
"I've been reading your kind tweets all day with tears in my eyes. Thank you for understanding and supporting my decision," Milano wrote, adding in a blushing happy face icon.
The news of Milano quitting the series came just one day after it was announced that Mistresses was renewed for a third season. She explained her decision on her website, published on Fox News.
"After two wonderful seasons in Los Angeles, the studio has decided to shoot season three of 'Mistresses' in Vancouver, Canada for financial reasons," she wrote. "It's with a heavy heart that I have decided that I can't relocate. I have two babies under 4. being a mother and wife comes first and I just can not uproot my children and separate the family by moving away. I will miss this job desperately and wish everyone the absolute best."
Mistresses is expected to return to ABC sometime in early summer 2015.
