The show was only just renewed for its third season, but the drama will already be amped up to a new level for one of the characters on Devious Maids.

'Devious Maids' Renewed For Season 3

The season two finale saw Carmen (Roselyn Sanchez) sleep with a mysterious man she meets in a bar (Gilles Marini), who promised her a meeting with a record executive. But after getting her into bed, he revealed that the record executive is actually his wife.

And though Carmen may have intended on just leaving him a dirty little secret in her past, she will have to face him again, as Marini has officially been promoted to a series regular for the season 3.

'Devious Maids' Season 3 Will Bring Lots Of 'Fun Trouble'

According to Marini's Instagram page, he could even already be working on new scenes for the show, or is at least prepping to stay in great shape before he heads back to work.

"Training hard with coach #Steve. Getting ready for work;) #DeviousMaids @evalongoria @rootsoffight ps: trying to get the same epic motivation that @therock has," he captioned a photo of himself working out.

This won't be Marini's first series regular role on a television show. He has previously had roles as Luc Laurent on Brothers & Sisters, Nicolas on 2 Broke Girls, and Angelo Sorrento on Switched at Birth. His role on Switched at Birth ended in July with the death of his character.

Though Devious Maids has been renewed for a third season, Lifetime has not released an official start date.
