It looks like New York Yankees star Derek Jeter and his longtime girlfriend Hannah Davis did not tie the knot in a secret ceremony over the weekend after all.

After speculation that they would say their "I Dos" in a private Long Island wedding, the couple was not spotted in the area at all.

Rather, they spent time together in West Village of New York City Sunday. But Saturday was not the big day for them either. That evening they made a stop at Conrad New York hotel in Battery Park.

Rumors of the two getting married sparked after the former baseball pro reportedly booked the Oheka Castle. The reason for the venue was not clear so many speculated that it could have been for his wedding -- especially considering engagement rumors have been swirling since he retired from the Yankees.

An insider also told Hollywood Life Friday that a wedding between the two was not likely and said he snagged the castle to celebrate his retirement. Still, his decision to keep it a secret is said to have had many of his close ones raising their eyebrows.

"Nobody has been told anything, which is getting people excited because why not just announce that you're having a retirement party? Friends are expecting that it will have something to do with retirement but they'd be shocked if a full wedding is taking place, which is causing people to suspect that maybe they will announce an engagement."

On top of that, the site also confirmed that two top secret weddings were occurring on Friday and Sunday at the castle. But it does not seem to be that of Jeter and Davis.
