Good News Keeps Coming For Michael Muhney

It was announced in June that Mistresses and Revenge actor would replace Michael Muhney as Adam Newman on the CBS soap opera. Hartley's first appearance is expected on Wednesday, Nov. 5.

Muhney, who played Adam from 2009 to 2013 and was reportedly fired from the series in December, sent kind words to his replacement in August.

"I really like Justin Hartley. He's a good guy. We really get along well. I wish him the best. Be kind to him. #goodguy," Muhney tweeted.

Hartley responded: "A thank you to Michael Muhney for the well wishes. Very much appreciated. Thank you."

Muhney also confirmed his permanent exit from the CBS show via social media that month. "Just got an official call, although things got very close, I will not be returning to Y&R. That part of my life is over. Moving on..." he wrote on Twitter. "I was hopeful for a return, but now I'm hopeful for the future. Now you'll just have to promise to tune in to my future projects! #lovexo."
