Reign just premiered the beginning of its second season last week and predictions are already being made for the show's future- but unfortunately, that future may last too long.

'Reign' Actor Posts Selfie In Costume

On Tuesday, TV By The Numbers revealed how the royal drama did in its Season 2 premiere, which wasn't as great as some may have wanted it to be. The site pointed out that the ratings tied its series low. A note was also made from Tom Shaw who pointed out that while the series isn't necessarily on the cancellation list, there is a possibility that The CW might want to make room for something else.

"Reign returned to the numbers it ended Spring with... which will likely put it as one of The CW's worst rated shows next week," Shaw noted. "With the current WB/CBS split, I'm still hesitant to predict this as a cancellation, but at some point it has to make more sense for the CW to just buy another CBS pilot in May... doesn't it?"

The site put three yellow face icons for Reign's chances of lasting, which means that it's at a toss up between renewal and cancellation by May, 2015.

As for how things are going to go in the second season, Torrance Coombs (Bash) told The Hollywood Reporter that things are about to change in the relationship with his brother since Francis is the king.

"Not only is Francis his king, but Bash works for him and sometimes he has to tell him what he really thinks, and sometimes he treats him like a little brother, which could get Bash in trouble," Coombs said.

Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
