A stunning new poster featuring Cate Blanchett as Galadriel in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was revealed on October 8.

What We Know So Far About The Final In The Hobbit Trilogy 

The powerful image spells a white winter with Galadriel hauntingly pale, adorning her crown, and is highlit by her piercing gaze.

While Blanchett hasn't spoken much about her part in the upcoming movie, she did dish some at the Comic-Con in July.

Peter Jackson To 'Bring A Little Bit Extra To The Mythology' With The Battle of the Five Armies

Reuters report got some informative bits from the event, sharing a few details about Galadriel's role in the final of The Hobbit trilogy came up.

"I was just grateful to get in this one. I thought my time was over in Middle Earth," Blanchett said about her return in the movie.

Jackson then weighed in on what fans can expect from Galadriel in this chapter, and it was nothing short of exciting.

"We do get to see Galadriel lose it a little in this movie ... she gets to kick Sauron's arse a little bit." 

The first official trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was also released at Comic-Con. The clip maintains a poignant tone set to Enya's music as it gives fans a glimpse of "the defining chapter of the Middle-Earth saga." The teaser picks up toward the end, when the maddened Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) cries out for war. There are some epic shots of the build up to the war and the armies of all factions seething with aggression.  

The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies will hit theaters on December 18.
