'RuPaul's Drag Race' News: Michelle Visage Dishes On The 'Excitement' & 'Challenge' Of Her Latest Performance With Bianca Del Rio [VIDEO]
Some memorable faces from RuPaul's Drag Race have taken on a different gig for Halloween season.
On Thursday, San Antonio Express News posted a story on Season 6 winner Bianca Del Rio who will be in a stage version of The Rocky Horror Show alongside judge Michelle Visage. Despite the fact that Del Rio may be a male behind the makeup, he performed as Magenta, a female character, while Visage performed as Magenta's brother, Riff Raff.
Considering that Rocky Horror has a concept revolving around mixes of genders, including a song called "Sweet Transvestite," it's not a surprise that Del Rio and Visage would have fun giving a performance in a show like this. Rocky Horror has its moments of outrageous dialogue, which comes from performers as well as the audience, which is something that Visage commented on.
"That's a challenge, but it's also the beauty of it," she said. "It's the excitement of doing the show live."
Visage also admitted that she was thinking of pursuing a different role, but changed her mind when she realized what she would have to be wearing.
"I thought about Janet, but there's Instagram and I'd have to be in my underwear," she said. "So I'm going to go with Riff Raff."
The article pointed out that this was Visage's second time performing in Rocky Horror and Del Rio's first. There was apparently a time when he had watched it as a kid, but got bored and didn't finish it. He then admitted that the song "There's a Light" is "catchy."
