It looks like Adam Driver's character in the anticipated Star Wars flick may have been unintentionally revealed.

Robert Downey, Jr. Addresses Rumors Of Appearing In 'Episode VII'

On Friday, MTV posted an interview with Joel Edgerton, Driver's co-star from the film Midnight Express, where he talked about what happened with Driver during their first day on set.

"Adam Driver and I worked together on this Jeff Nichols movie lat year. Literally, he got cast, and then I heard he was going to be playing whatever new character version of the villain in the new Star Wars movie," Edgerton said. "The next day I had to do a scene with him after I read this. I said 'I'm scared to do this scene with you now because you might...'" The actor then added a pretend hand strangling him.

Has A Certain Villain Been Revealed For 'Episode VII?'

MTV pointed out a story from Variety that mentioned that Driver was cast in Episode VII with speculation that he would play the villain. So it sounds like Edgerton was referring to this story about Driver possible playing the villain, but based on what Edgerton said, he may have given a slightly bigger confirmation that Driver would be the bad guy.

Most of the details on Episode VII are being kept a secret right now. The only things that are for sure are who's been cast so far, one of them being Driver. Other cast members include Gwendoline Christie, Lupita Nyong'o and John Boyega.

Star Wars: Episode VII is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
