While fans still get used to the idea that Porsha Williams will not be holding a peach on Bravo's upcoming season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Andy Cohen has revealed the real reason she was downgraded.

Countless fans thought Williams' demotion from a full-time cast member to a recurring friend was a result of her epic attack on her co-star Kenya Moore.

But Cohen told Bravo's The Dish blog that that is not the case.

Cohen said Thursday, "It had nothing to do with anything that happened at the reunion last season. Really, it was about the amount of story we got from Porsha this season.

We went into it assuming she would be a full Housewife, holding a peach. We just haven't gotten enough to merit that. She's going to be in it a lot. We love her. I hope she'll be on Bravo endlessly."

Show star Kandi Burruss also revealed in a separate interview with Hip Hollywood that she and her fellow cast members were shocked by the news.

"I didn't know that. We've been taping since like June. And none of us knew. I didn't know. I just so happened to be shooting a movie for TV One. I just so happened to see it in a press release with everybody else."

She went on to say that while Williams "is not thrilled, she's gonna be fine."

William currently co-hosts popular radio show Dish Nation. As for Claudia Jordan who has replaced Williams, Burruss said she can definitely roll with the ladies when it comes to bringing the drama.

"Claudia is a firecracker. She definitely adds something to the new cast, to this new season."
