The show is expected to tackle its negative image in its upcoming fourth season, and at least one cast member from Amish Mafia has already tried confronting one of the program's newest enemies.

'Respect Amish' Movement Reacts To Season 4 of 'Amish Mafia'

Merlin Miller, the ex-leader of the Ohio Mafia and sworn enemy of Lebanon Levi, appeared October 10 outside the offices of Lancaster Newspapers to try and confront Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett, who was at the publication to attend an editorial board meeting.

Corbett previously signed a petition supporting the Respect Amish movement, which aims to halt shows like Amish Mafia for their false and dangerous portrayals of the true Amish on television, and Miller reportedly wanted to try and talk the Governor around to see things from his perspective, but was rebuffed by security.

'Amish Mafia' Season 4 To Have 'New Twists' And 'Fresh Faces'

"He's just jumping on the bandwagon against our show," Miller told Lancaster Online. "He came out against our show. I wanted one minute with him, just to talk to him."

Miller also stated he believes Corbett is worried that the truth about the Amish Mafia's existence would put a dent in the income from tourism, and believes that's why he signed onto the movement.

"The 'Amish Mafia' is bringing out the truth about the Amish community that a lot of people don't know" he said. "I don't like that he wants to censor me and what I can say."

The show's attorney, Steven Breit, also spoke to Lancaster Online about the show's new season, saying there were plans to tackle the negative image that has been cast on the show because of the movement against it, as well as the Pennsylvania Governor's Race.

Amish Mafia season 4 premieres on Discovery in January 2015. A specific date has not been announced.
