The next episode of Reign might show a different side to Francis and Mary depending on how they decide to handle being the king and queen.

Will Bash & Kenna Stay Together On 'Reign?'

On Thursday, a promo was released on what's going to happen when Francis receives a crown on his head in what appears to be an honored event. As big of an accomplishment as this may be, Catherine's voice can be heard saying how Francis and Mary see the world differently now. They're not in it for the money nor the power- but for the people.

With a famine taking place, the king and queen are trying to figure out how they can help everyone. Unfortunately, things are going in a rambunctious turn when people get into a fight. But it was only because a man wanted to feed his family.

Is Mary Going To Have A Baby On 'Reign?'

Mary then reveals that people are starving and dying, and she will do what she must to feed them. This leaves questions on how far Mary will choose to go to save the people of France and if it will lead to a dark path.

While Francis will have to worry about being king, he'll also have a tedious relationship with his brother according to Torrance Coombs (Bash).

"Not only is Francis his king, but Bash works for him and sometimes he has to tell him what he really thinks, and sometimes he treats him like a little brother, which could get Bash in trouble," Coombs told The Hollywood Reporter.

Reign airs on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.
