While they certainly aren't the only surprising Hollywood romance, 2 Broke Girls actress Kat Dennings and singer Josh Groban are one of the newest to cause fans to scratch their heads.

The unlikely pair made their debut as a couple Oct. 11 at the 2014 Carousel of Hope Ball in Beverly Hills, with Dennings, 28, appearing at the event in a floor-length black gown and her arms around the 33-year-old singer. And now, US Weekly confirms the two are indeed dating, and that things are reportedly going well.

"Kat and Josh recently started dating and are having a lot of fun," a source told the magazine.

The couple not only confirmed their new romance at the charity event, but also appeared to make it social media official as well.

Dennings shared a photo of the two at the event on her Instagram Oct. 13, simply captioning "I ship it," while Groban tweeted his own confirmation of the romance. "I just shipped my pants," he wrote.

Prior to dating each other, Dennings was linked to 2 Broke Girls guest star Nick Zano, who appeared in ten episodes of the show from 2011-2012. It is unclear when the two called off their romance, though Zano may also be moving on, and was reportedly getting touchy-feely with English model and actress Kelly Brook on the set of their new sitcom One Big Happy just one week before Dennings and Groban went public.

Prior to Dennings, Groban dated Mad Men star January Jones from 2003-2006.
