While Bravo's The Real Housewives of New Jersey Teresa Giudice has said that she stands by her husband Joe Giudice while they face legal issues together, rumor now has it that she is preparing to see a divorce attorney.

Teresa & Joe Giudice Hold Up 'RHONJ' Reunion Process

The couple was recently sentenced after pleading guilty to serious fraud charges (Teresa received 15 months while Joe was handed three years).

Even though Teresa supported Joe during that time, she was MIA when he pleaded guilty to charges in an unrelated case Wednesday -- Drivers License Fraud.

Teresa is said to have met with a divorce attorney, whose first task is oddly not to begin the divorce process. Instead they will try to fight Teresa's sentence with an appeal to the court. It will be interesting to see how this pans out. When Teresa pleaded guilty to her charges, she forfeited her legal right to appeal the sentence.

An insider told Radar Online Tuesday, "While it's odd that Teresa would be meeting with a divorce attorney to handle the appeal, it's not that unconventional for the mother of four. She is going with her gut instincts on this one.

"It shouldn't be lost on anyone either that Joe isn't going to be pursuing any appeal, and Teresa will likely hire the divorce attorney to handle her inevitable split from him."

Teresa's lawyer will join efforts with a white collar crime attorney as well. The insider added that Teresa is willing to do whatever it takes to avoid going to prison.

Teresa will begin her sentence in January. Joe will start his when she is finished.
