There a lot of projects that could be on the way for Marvel and one hero that many people want to see is Black Panther. But is a strictly comedy director going to take on the project for the studio?

In a interview with Crave Online on Wednesday, Adam McKay talked about his future with Marvel after he helped clean up the script with Paul Rudd on Ant-Man.

"[I] had such a great time working with them that we're kicking around ideas," he said. "But yeah, maybe I would take on one of the characters. We haven't locked in anything, but discussions are definitely going on."

These talks could move even more quickly if McKay's work on Ant-Man gets some praise from both critics and audiences when it comes out next year, but what project could the director be talking about? One that is probably the next big thing to come out is Black Panther.

McKay is a capable director who has shown that he can mix action and comedy in his hits such as Anchorman and The Other Guys, but is this property the best one for his abilities? This hero seems to be a little more gritty than some of the others and is in charge of a whole country in South Africa.

Maybe this isn't what McKay is talking about as the studio also is looking at making solo films for Hawkeye and Black Widow and possibly do a film with Captain Marvel so they could also be what he is speaking of, but Black Panther seems to be the most logical.
