Even though DC has put names on all of their upcoming superhero slots from now until 2019, it seems like Marvel is still keen to keep what they have up their sleeves a little bit secret. But one name that everyone wants to see soon is Black Panther. And when could his solo movie be coming? Sooner than we think.

A New Hero May Fix Captain America's Shield In 'Avengers 2'

Two dates that would make the most sense for Black Panther are May 5 and Nov. 3, 2017. Both dates are sandwiching the release set aside for Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and would make sense due to the remark made by Kevin Feige that the studio wants to alternate sequels and origin movies moving forward.

While one of those dates is most likely Thor 3, the other could be Black Panther and the story that could be following him would not be an origin, but more of a call to action and a reason for him to join up with the other Avengers.

Could 'The Equalizer' Be Marvel's Black Panther?

One way this could happen is Hydra finding his home of Wakanda and overtaking it as they look for vibranium to use with their weapons. The story could deal with maybe a return of a Hydra villain, such as Red Skull, coming to Wakanda and asking to use some of this precious metal.

T'Challa, or the Black Panther, realizes that these men are not like the Avengers who came and saw him before (during Age of Ultron) and makes them go away. This leads to them going for a takeover of the country and forcing him to become Black Panther full-time and avenge his land.

This would allow Marvel to introduce the hero without having to make it an origin story and would re-introduce a villain for future movies.
