Movie Pilot speculated on Friday what Marvel would be doing with the Spider-Man character if they did get their hands on him, and while putting him in their movies is the most logical first step, the site believes that letting him join the Netflix line-up first would make sense.

Marvel is moving their television universe to Netflix with the release of Daredevil, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones on the streaming platform before putting all of them together for a team-up series, The Defenders. But Movie Pilot says that putting Spider-Man in the series would be the logical step for Marvel.

Could This Actress Be Coming Back As Mary Jane Watson In A Future Spider-Man Movie?

The site says that with Marvel's current movie heroes doing well on all cylinders with new team Guardians of the Galaxy as the example, they make the case that moving Spidey to the small screen would be the best case scenario as it would be able to help boost their Netflix shows while waiting to bring Spider-Man up to the big screens later on.

They add that with the previous Spider-Man movies not being able to fit into the scheme of Marvel's universe, trying to re-brand the hero with the Netflix series would be able to get him to fit into the studio's plans and get him back on track.

They also add that Daredevil is expected to feature a few villains that cross paths with Spidey and the hero could help out with fighting some of New York City's newest bad guys.
