In a recent interview, Stephen Amell, who plays Oliver Queen, previewed the upcoming episode of Arrow, which will feature the entrance of season 3's prime antagonist, Ra's al Ghul (Matt Nable).

Speaking to TVLine, Amell dished about Ghul's entry being a memorable one for fans.

"If you're a fan of comics, you're really going to enjoy the reveal of Ra's al Ghul - like, the first frames of seeing him," he said. "That's going to be pretty cool and create a lot of chatter."

Another very interestong facet of the upcoming episode, titled The Magician, is the return of Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman).

In a recently revealed sneak peek clip for the episode, Oliver and the crew is seen discussing Merlyn's possible return from the dead, and his new identity as the Dark Archer.

In August, it was revealed that Merlyn will back and wreak havoc not as himself but in the avatar of the Dark Archer. It has also been suggested that Merlyn's daughter, Thea, will go to the dark side under his guidance.

In an interview with Zap2it earlier this year, Barrowman was cautious about giving away too many spoilers but fans knew he was definitely returning as a series regular.

"I know some of what's going to happen," he said. "And for Arrow fans, it's going to be an amazing Season 3."

The actor went on to speak about his charcter's immortal powers, like when he was brought back to life after season 1.

"What you have to understand is that Malcolm Merlyn, he might not have died," Barrowman said. "He just knows how to do things -- in the same realm as Sing Your Face Off -- to do an impression of being dead. It's not always what it looks like and things are explained later."

The Magician will air on October 29 on the CW.
