Sons of Anarchy wrapped up production on Thursday, with Sutter returning to the director's chair after having to get his appendix removed. Longtime executive producer Paris Barclay stepped in to direct on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Barclay previously previewed the downward spiral the characters would be facing as the series moves onward to its finale.

"It's been pretty much a bad season of spiraling anyway, but now the spiral accelerates," Barclay revealed in a recent interview with Yahoo. "Now we're getting to the part where the circle becomes tighter. When you're going down the tornado and you really start spinning, everything that everyone knows and finds out starts impacting everyone else and the decisions they make. As you see by the end of the episode [Greensleeves], some of the decisions Jax makes end up being disastrous."

Sons of Anarchy airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
