While the quitter threw things off on CBS's Survivor: San Juan del Sur, host Jeff Probst revealed who came close to being voted out at the end of Wednesday night's episode.

Should 'Survivor' Season 30 Feature 'All Stars,' Newbies Or Another Concept?

Julie McGee elected to quit the game in the latest episode of Survivor due to feeling expendable in her alliance and missing boyfriend John Rocker too much. While she did not want to bother help the members of her alliance by staying in the game, she actually may have saved one of her closest allies in the process.

Probst spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the episode and revealed that Jeremy Collins was actually pretty close to being voted out if Julie hadn't quit.

Jeremy, Josh, Natalie Among Favorites To Take Home $1 Million, Who Will It Be?

"I think it was gonna happen and I think he would have been shocked," Probst revealed. "So Jeremy was saved, but now his new problem is he lost a very important number."

As far as going forward, Probst said that Julie's quit actually "throws a wrench into things," adding, "There are so many levels of game play - it is imperative that you see everything. If your vision becomes too focused you're done. The best players will prove themselves through their ability to play this game not based on history, but on what is in front of them in any given moment."

Based on the promo for next week's episode, it looks like Jaclyn Schultz is having second thoughts about aligning with the men's alliance and wants her and boyfriend Jon Misch to switch back to the other side, with Jeremy. Julie may have indeed saved Jeremy's game going forward.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
