New behind-the-scenes footage of the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been captured, with Superman (Henry Cavill) carrying Lois Lane (Amy Adams) in his arms.

Batman v Superman is currently filming in Chicago. The local Fox affiliate did a story on the filming, showing Cavill wearing his Superman suit, picking up and cradling Adams. It is not clear what type of scene this is for, though presumably Lois Lane needs saving and Superman is right there for her. Watch the footage below.

The 2016 film has largely been shrouded in secrecy in terms of plot details. The only big information that has been released since the announcement of Batman and Superman being in the same movie was the large and expansive cast.

Cavill and Adams are both returning to their roles from Man of Steel, as are Laurence Fishburne as Perry White and Diane Lane as Martha Kent. Stars who are joining the franchise in major roles are Ben Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth.

Other actors who are slated to appear in the movie but don't have official character names are Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto, Callan Mulvey and most recently, Jena Malone. Members of the Justice League who are making cameo appearances in the film are Aquaman (Jason Momoa) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is scheduled for release in theaters on March 25, 2016.
