While the second season of USA's Chrisley Knows Best is in full swing, it is the drama the Chrisley family faces off camera that has taken center stage; such as Todd Chrisley's very public issue with his son Kyle Chrisley.

Todd Chrisley Reveals Why Kyle Chrisley Is Not On 'Chrisley Knows Best'

Todd spoke with ET Online earlier this week and opened up about how he and his family are dealing with the drama.

"Our hopes are as a family to continue to lift him up, get him back to where he needs to be. The things that Kyle says, although they're not true and they're hurtful, it doesn't change my love for him. He's my child."

Kyle recently slammed Todd and said that he not only booted him from the show, but he is a "snake" who took his two-year-old daughter Chloe from him. At the same time, Todd's brother Randy was diagnosed with cancer earlier this month.

Todd continued and said, "We've had a lot of heartache that we've muddled through with our family. We've lifted each other up and we're out of the ditch now and back on the highway."

As for the other children - Chase, Savannah, Grayson and Lindsie, Todd says they definitely keep him busy with the choices that they make.

"I don't know that they're trying to test me, I think that they truly want to do some of this stuff. I think I have raised thinking children and for that I'm blessed. And at the same token, for that I am cursed."

He added that he doesn't let them go too far off of the deep end, but rather "molds" their desires to "make sense."
