Twin Peaks actress Sheryl Lee released a statement clarifying a relatively disparaging article that claimed her life to be much worse than it is in reality.

Lee responded to the article from the London Evening Standard, which painted her life to be more depressing than it actually is.

While dealing with a health issue has been a challenge for me both personally and professionally, I am doing much better than the author of a recent article made it seem with his careless misquotes and irresponsible exaggerations," Lee wrote in a statement released via Twin Peaks UK Festival on Facebook.

Will 'Twin Peaks' Revival On Showtime Feature Nudity, Sex, Violence And Explicit Language?

"I am continuing to act, write and perform and have a renewed depth of gratitude for all of the simple things in life, including nature and time with my loved ones."

The report included such quotes as Lee having to "sell everything for financial reasons" and focused heavily on her rare blood disorder.

"It is better to go directly to my website at belovednature.com [1] to read the words I wrote myself than to believe the musings of a thoughtless journalist," she continued. "Remember......they write to sell papers, not to tell the truth."

Lee also offered some info that should be good news to Twin Peaks fans. She wrote that she will indeed be involved in the show's 2016 revival, according to series co-creator David Lynch. The London Evening Standard report had claimed that she hadn't been asked to return.

Twin Peaks is set to return to television in 2016 on Showtime, though the network has not announced a premiere date yet.
