Director Bryan Singer headed to London recently to start casting for the next X-Men movie, and it seems like that could include a few of the biggest young actors in the business. But how likely is it that these actors/actresses join the franchise?

The Wrap reported on Tuesday on the list of candidates that Fox and Singer are looking at for the roles of young Jean Grey and Cyclops. The role of Storm is still up in the air.

The list for Jean Grey included Elle Fanning, Chloe Grace Moretz and Hailee Steinfeld. The list for Cyclops included Ben Hardy, Charlie Rowe and Timothee Chalamet.

The Jean Grey list has a few relatively known actresses that haven't grabbed a big franchise role yet while each of them has some experience working with big budget films.

Chloe Grace Moretz is probably the safest choice due to her previous credit in a superhero film (Kick-Ass) and the fact that she has appeared (and starred) in moderate budget features already. It also helps that she has a prior working relationship with former producer Matthew Vaughn, who could always put a word in for her.

Out of the rumored names, she may be the one leading the pack right now.

Steinfeld is one who has yet to have credit in a franchise, but has that coming up with her inclusion (and rumored takeover) of Pitch Perfect. With Anna Kendrick possibly leaving after this next movie, Steinfeld is rumored to be the one that producers are grooming to take over for the starlet. While it wouldn't take her out of the running for X-Men, it isn't known if she would want two franchises at a time.

Fanning has recent blockbuster experience with Maleficent earlier this year and Super 8. The Wrap said that the actress is the least likely right now as it seems she may not be wanting to get locked into a big franchise yet.

The report didn't have much information about the men looking to play Cyclops. All of them are relatively unknown and are probably equal based on the lack of prior experience.

As of now though, it seems like Moretz may be leading the choices with Steinfeld and then Fanning behind.
