This time it's Evan Peters' turn to take on a classic song that most certainly wasn't around in the 1950s. Peters, as Jimmy Darling, will be singing the Nirvana hit Come As You Are, which was released in 1992. This will be a part of Wednesday night's episode called Test of Strength, which is reportedly a significant one for Jimmy and his father Dell (Michael Chiklis), according to a new report by Entertainment Weekly.

As for why the series is featuring anachronistic music from certain artists through time, American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy has an answer:

"We decided we only were going to highlight musical artists who at some point in their career had identified themselves as feeling like freaks or misfits or outcasts, which our people are going through," Murphy previously revealed to Entertainment Weekly.

According to the report, fans are in for another performance in an upcoming episode. Kathy Bates as Ethel will be performing a cover of Hole's Doll Parts in an episode that has yet to be announced.

Previously, Jessica Lange sang David Bowie's Life on Mars and Lana Del Rey's Gods and Monsters while Sarah Paulson sang Fiona Apple's Criminal.

American Horror Story: Freak Show airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on FX.
