The third episode of NBC's new 'State of Affairs' aired on Monday and viewers are left with a major cliffhanger.

'State Of Affairs' Cast: Katherine Heigl Wants To Show Another Side Of CIA, Didn't Know What POTUS Means

In Monday night's episode a group of Nigerian schools girls are kidnapped by Boho Haram with the intent of being sold into slavery. It was up to Charlie's team to save the girls without anyone knowing that the United States was behind it.

The president also has an argument with her husband who was looking at confidential documents while trying to find closure for their son's death. This ultimately leads to the First Man storming out of the Oval Office.

In a flashback, viewers fing out the Nick was once a freelance torture specialist who worked for the government. Fans also find out that this is where Charlie and Nick met for the first time when she watched him torture Fatah in hopes of breaking him.

The CIA team finally poinpoints the girls and Payton gives Charlie the go-ahead to save them, which they do.

The episode ends with Nick pointing a gun at someone as they open the door to his hotel room.
