Now that a teaser announcing the premiere date for season 3 of House of Cards is finally out, it seems like the first official promo for the chapter must be very nigh.

Season 3 Of House of Cards To Focus On Foreign Affairs?

This is coupled with the fact that season 3 might go into post-production soon, as the filming might almost through.

On December 1, the special declaration was made via the political drama's official Twitter account, with a 12 second clip, showing Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) boarding the Air Force One. The view of Frank, accompanied by his wife Claire (Robin Wright) taking the stairs to the entrance is seen from inside the plane, through window frames. The return date of February 27, 2015 appears in red at the end of the clip.

With a recent tweet, showrunner Beau Willimon hinted that the last leg of filming for season 3 of House of Cards was underway.

On November 15, Willimon tweeted from Los Angeles, appreciation the sunny weather of the west coast:

"Hola LA! Dig the warmth & sun. Short visit but I'll soak it up while I can. Then back to east to finish @HouseofCards"

This would mean filming for the Netflix political drama is almost through and fans should hopefully get a release date for the show soon.

A recent report revealed that show will most likely be set for a February release next year. This does add up as the first two seasons premiered in February of 2013 and 2014.

While not much known about the next chapter is definite information as creator Beau Willimon has been extremely tight-lipped about the show, which stars Kevin Spacey and Robin Wright.

But a few details have spilled through. Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) will not only be signing up for fresh challenges as president but foreign affairs would be a prime focus for him. In a recent interview, Polish filmmaker Agnieszka Holland, who will be directing as episode in season 3, stated that Frank might also be dealing with the Russians.

"Without telling you what happens, once Francis Underwood becomes president, suddenly he faces different responsibilities and international situations, and I think there are some similarities to what's going on now. Because I have knowledge of international politics, know more about the Russians and what they do, I can bring that to the show."

The third season of House of Cards is currently filming in Maryland, where the first and second seasons were also shot. Initially, the continuation of filming of the third season of the Netflix series was fraught with troubles over the past few weeks as the producers weren't getting permission from the State of Maryland. But the issue was finally resolved on April 25.
