Fans who are worried about Wendell (Michael Grant Terry) on Fox's Bones can rest assured that he is likely going to be fine for the time being.

Wendell still has to deal with his bone cancer, despite being in remission at the moment. However, Terry told TVLine recently that he should be okay this season.

Terry said that "things are going a little bit better now" for Wendell, who may be getting a love interest played by actress Shalita Grant. The report describes her as a "literal Florence Nightingale."

As far as his health, "there's still a looming fear of the unknown, of coming out of remission at some point, but things are looking good for Wendell," Terry said, hopefully.

Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan previously spoke with TVLine about Wendell in early October, saying that he would be okay for now, though the cancer arc would "definitely be revisited" in the new season. He added that,"We've already done the first episode dealing with that, and that will continue for a few more episodes."

In the mean time, Booth (David Boreanaz) is set to deal with his own problems in the new year as his past comes back to haunt him.

"Booth is going to confront a couple demons from his past," Nathan said in a recent interview with TVGuide.com. "He's in Gambler's Anonymous and we've had hints of that. But that's going to come back in a more powerful way than we've seen in the past."

Bones airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
